Visualisation for Oil & Mineral Exploration
DEM's from
ASTER data and SPOT5 now provide explorers with 3D imagery
which allow much improved visualisation of surface exploration
targets. When these are combined with interpreted seismic data
in the vertical dimension, a greater understanding of the relationship
between surface and sub-surface structures can be obtained,
at both basin and prospect scale. Understanding is further
enhanced when viewed in an immersive 3D visualisation centre.
NPA is currently engaged in ongoing research into 3D satellite
visualisation.
Production of Flythroughs and 3D Views
NPA produces captivating and clear simulated
views from an aircraft... the most spectacular 'window seat'
views of the planet. NPA can produce a view of almost any location
in the world.
- NPA Views are generated using real image and
terrain data. Although processed to look natural, they
are not solely an artistic rendition.
- NPA Views will enable
clear
visualisation of project area terrain NPA Views from
satellite imagery are the only means to produce clear views
over
large areas with detailed resolution at a realistic costs.
- NPA
Views can be produced as either static high quality
displays, or
as motion fly-throughs.
NPA have been producing products
from satellite imagery since 1972. From continuous
worldwide exploration
and resource mapping activity, NPA now has one of
the largest private satellite image archives and good links
to
many
other worldwide archives. NPA have the capability to
produce the
elevation data necessary to generate these realistic
and detailed views for any location on the earth
